The brand new Porsche 992 GT3 Cup is coming in Italy in 2022, but Enrico Fulgenzi Racing made a jump ahead bringing two of them in the Porsche Carrera Cup France already in 2021.
While the Headquarter’s building is in the process, Enrico Fulgenzi Racing has two latest-spec weapons in their garage. The 992 GT3 Cup cars will be driven by an excellent duo: Gabriele Marotta and Enrico Fulgenzi.Gabriele Marotta will have a key role in the team, as he will bring with him 30 years of racing experience at international level (since 1987!). In 2020 he raced with Enrico Fulgenzi Racing in the Porsche Cup Suisse and he is now ready to rejoin the team for this new adventure. His words about the 2021 campaign: “I’ve worked with Enrico Fulgenzi Racing in the Porsche Cup Suisse in 2020, I enjoyed the team a lot both humanly and technically, so I’m sure I can have a lot of fun and some good results this year. I’m really happy about the new car, which we will bring on track before anyone else in Italy. I think that the car will be evolved a lot, and with better performances compared to the 991.
The calendar is amazing and I’m eager to go: all the tracks are top-class venues, and afer 30 years of racing I’m fially going to Magny-Cours for the fist time, and I’m so happy to go back in Spa and Portimao several years later my last times there. For sure, even if I have mny years of experience, there will be a lot to learn! Having fun surely will be our main goal, but I think I can reach some interesting results.”
Alongside him, eager to go for a new Porsche experience out of Italy, there will be “the Dobermann”: the team CEO Enrico Fulgenzi, driving a second 992 GT3 Cup. He will be a landmark in the car development and he will accompany his team in the fist full-time campaign outside of Italy.
This will be the fist season with an entire program out of Italy for Enrico, a natural step as he became a champion and a top-quality driver in the last 10 years of Porsche Carrera Cup Italia.
The french adventure will start in Magny-Cours the 7th of March, when the 992 GT3 Cup duo will get on track for the fist time during an offial test session.
Racing will also begin in Magny-Cours on May, and will go on in an amazing calendar with fie venues that are actually visited by the F1 this year.
